"My daughter Dianne is coming up for her 18th birthday and I was trying to find something unique for her for this special birthday. Dianne is a huge fan of the Celtic artist Courtney Davis and I decided to try and contact Courtney to see if I could purchase an original artwork for Dianne. I did a search on Courtney's name on the Internet and very quickly located his website. There were a number of original works for sale on the site but I decided to contact Courtney to see if there was any way that he would do something for Dianne personally. I e-mailed Courtney and was very pleasantly surprised to receive a response very quickly. I told Courtney the amount that I had to spend and suggested a Celtic design incorporating Dianne's name. Courtney was again very prompt in replying and stated that he would be delighted to do something for me. He asked for 50% of the cost up front and he would then produce a design that I could change if I was not happy with it. I agreed to this and attempted to pay the 50% on the website. I had some trouble doing this and Courtney offered to produce the design with no up front fee but with the full payment being made by another method when I was happy with the finished work. I was very impressed with his offer to produce what would be a unique work that would be difficult to sell to anyone unless their name was Dianne with no up front charge. In the end we did manage to get the payment through the website and that solved the problem.

Courtney then produced a rough design for my comment. Again I was very impressed with the short timeframe involved. I had a rough design about a week after making first contact with Courtney. I was very happy with the rough design and Courtney completed the work within another few days of my indicating that I was happy. I paid for the final design and received it in the mail about a week later. I am in Australia and Courtney is in England so this was in my mind a great result.

In summing up my experience with Courtney I can only say that he was a pleasure to deal with, extremely helpful and very prompt. The best bit is that I have got a unique present for Dianne that hopefully she will treasure for all of her life. I would have absolutely no hesitation about recommending Courtney to anyone who wants a fabulous artwork and a great service experience as well. I feel like I have gained a friend out of the process with Courtney inviting both Dianne and myself to meet him when he is in Australia next year (2002).
